Crypto Education Gap Grows as Students Outpace Parents

Share

A new study by OKX found that nearly all college students (90%) and their parents (87%) believe that crypto and blockchain should be taught in financial education.

The survey also revealed a significant knowledge gap between generations, with most students feeling that they understand crypto better than their parents. In fact, 53% of students said that they had to teach their parents about crypto or investing, while only 14% of students felt that their parents understood it better.

When asked how much influence they should have over investment decisions, 36% of students believed they should have the greatest influence, compared to 30% of parents who thought they should. This highlights a potential generational conflict in financial decision-making.
