Crypto Educator Tone Vays Falls Victim to Hackers on Microsoft Teams Interview
Crypto educator Tone Vays admitted to being 'an idiot' after giving hackers access to his PC during an hour-long Microsoft Teams interview. The incident occurred when a group claiming to be a YouTube channel used screen sharing to download Trojan malware onto his computer.
Vays explained that he had given them access control permissions, which allowed the hackers to install the malicious software. He disconnected his PC and reinstalled his operating system immediately after realizing what had happened.
Fortunately for Vays, everything appears to be 'OK' on his end, as he does not store any Bitcoin credentials or password details on his PC. However, the incident has left him shaken and more cautious in the future.
