Crypto Exchanges Break Down Barriers to Traditional Stock Market Participation
MEXC, a pioneer in 0-fee digital asset trading, has launched 'Trade Wall Street, Without Walls,' a campaign highlighting how crypto-native trading is reducing traditional barriers to stock market participation. The initiative comes as research from MEXC and CoinGecko found that 74.2% of surveyed users with traditional finance experience have shifted some or all of their traditional asset trading activity to crypto exchanges.
The main reasons for this shift include limited trading hours, at 58.8%, and high fees, at 54.7%. In contrast, 24/7 market access and more competitive fees ranked among the leading reasons users chose to move traditional asset trading activity to centralized exchanges.
MEXC's CEO, Vugar Usi Zade, stated that 'the biggest change is not simply that more traditional assets are becoming available on crypto platforms. It is that the way retail users access and trade those assets is changing.' He emphasized that crypto-native infrastructure gives an opportunity to rethink many of the constraints in traditional markets.
