Crypto Exchanges Report 136 Disruptions in 38 Days, Half Affecting Deposits/Withdrawals
Crypto exchange status pages reveal that between August 1 and September 7, 2026, nine exchanges reported 136 incidents of disruptions, with almost half (63) affecting deposits or withdrawals.
This analysis by cryptoticker.io found that the most common type of disruption was related to deposits or withdrawals, not trading. The longest-running suspension lasted for around 27 days, while 14 suspensions were still open on September 7.
The exchanges with the highest number of incidents were Coinbase (38) and Kraken (36), but this does not necessarily mean they are less reliable than others. In fact, these exchanges maintain very fine-grained status pages that record every delay on a single network.
