Crypto Firms Press SEC for Faster ETF Reviews Amid Concerns Over Regulatory Delays

Several major crypto firms have joined forces to urge the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to expedite the review of exchange-traded funds (ETFs).

The companies, including Grayscale, 21Shares, and a16z, submitted public comments on future regulations, calling for a more efficient registration process.

Grayscale suggested allowing confidential submission of draft documents before public disclosure, which it believes would reduce the incentive for competitors to copy or duplicate applications.

a16z also urged for shorter review periods, citing electronic document submission and the repetitive nature of questions from product to product.
