Crypto Funding in Southeast Asia Surges to $680 Million as Investors Favor Fewer Bigger Deals

Share

Southeast Asia's blockchain sector has seen significant growth in funding this year, reaching $680 million. This is more than double the amount secured last year, which was $319 million.

The region has recorded 25 blockchain funding rounds so far in 2026, compared to 46 in 2025 and a peak of 206 in 2022.

Crypto.com announced a major strategic investment of $400 million from Citadel Securities in July. This deal alone accounts for nearly 60% of the region's total blockchain funding this year, valuing Crypto.com at $20 billion.
