Crypto Industry Enters New Phase with Integration of Traditional Finance

Share

The crypto industry is undergoing significant changes as traditional financial institutions begin to integrate digital assets and blockchain technology, according to William Sutanto, CEO of INDODAX.

This shift presents both opportunities and challenges for bringing crypto closer to the mainstream financial system without sacrificing innovation and openness. As tokenization becomes a concrete bridge between these two worlds, traditional financial assets are increasingly being represented on-chain, allowing for interactions and transactions within the same ecosystem.

'As traditional assets enter the blockchain, the line between traditional finance and crypto becomes increasingly blurred,' William stated at Coinfest Asia 2026 in Bali. 'This opens up great opportunities, but it also requires trust, regulation, and infrastructure that can connect both ecosystems.'
