Crypto Industry Pours Millions into Senate Races Ahead of Crucial CLARITY Act Vote
The cryptocurrency industry is increasing its presence in U.S. politics as lawmakers prepare to vote on major digital asset legislation, the CLARITY Act.
Two cryptocurrency-focused political action committees have launched approximately $1.5 million worth of advertisements supporting Republican candidates in Senate contests in Michigan and Iowa.
The spending comes as the CLARITY Act moves closer to a Senate vote, which aims to establish clearer regulatory rules for digital assets.
The industry-backed groups are expected to continue expanding their involvement in elections with more than $125 million in additional political funding reportedly remaining available.
