Crypto Legislation on Thin Ice as Senate Delays Clarity Act

Share

The U.S. Senate's decision to delay the Clarity Act has put the future of crypto finance legislation in jeopardy, but it's not a disaster for the industry... yet.

According to reports, the chances of the bill passing Congress and becoming law by Election Day in November have decreased due to this delay.

Senate Majority Leader John Thune has promised to bring the bill to the Senate floor in September, making it one of the few remaining issues to be debated before the midterms. This means that while the legislation is still alive, its fate remains uncertain until September's session.
