Crypto Market Bounces Back to $2.82T, Altcoins Lead the Charge
The cryptocurrency market has finally bounced back after months of decline, reaching its highest point in seven months. On September 3, the total market cap surged to approximately $2.82 trillion, surpassing levels seen since January this year.
While Bitcoin's dominance remains steady at around 57-59%, major altcoins have been driving the recovery. ZEC has been a standout performer, posting a year-to-date gain of over 65% through August. XRP, ADA, and DOGE also logged significant gains in various timeframes leading up to the $2.82 trillion milestone.
XRP's growth can be attributed to its relatively clear regulatory standing in the US following recent litigation. However, it's worth noting that the market still has a long way to go before reaching its all-time high of around $4.27 trillion seen in October 2025.
