Crypto Market Braces for Correction Amid Downside Liquidity Buildup
The cryptocurrency market may be heading for a correction, according to analyst Darkfost, who warns that a significant amount of liquidity has accumulated below current price levels.
This buildup of downside liquidity often acts as a magnet for price action, causing markets to move downward and 'sweep' these levels before continuing the broader trend.
Recently, $1.6 billion in positions were forcibly liquidated across the crypto market, with long positions accounting for $866 million and short positions making up $797 million of this total.
This sharp price swing caught leveraged traders on both sides off guard, leading to rapid liquidations.
