Crypto Market Dips Amid Global Tensions and AI Fears
The crypto market experienced a broad decline on September 14, influenced by various factors. According to SoSoValue data, the escalating situation in the Middle East and ongoing developments surrounding AI safety contributed to the downturn.
The Meme sector was particularly hard hit, with losses of over 3% within a 24-hour period. Cash Cat (CASHCAT) suffered the largest decline among meme-based assets, falling by 10.36%, while Pons (PONS) dropped 14.25% and Niu Lai plunged 27.82%. Bitcoin (BTC) also declined, but at a much lower rate of 0.55%, holding above $76,000.
On the other hand, the DePIN sector showed resilience with a 24-hour gain of 3.49%, driven by Filecoin's (FIL) surge of 21.43% and Arweave's (AR) climb of 9.41%. The Layer2 sector also gained ground, albeit marginally at 0.24%, with Lisk (LSK) surging 56.89%.
