Crypto Market Flash Crash Wipes Out Over $108 Billion
The cryptocurrency market experienced its largest flash crash since October 2025, wiping out $108 billion in just six minutes. The total market value plummeted from $2.68 trillion to $2.55 trillion as selling pressure increased.
A massive wave of liquidations hit the market, with over $1.71 billion in crypto positions getting wiped out. According to CoinGlass, 281,846 traders were liquidated in the past 24 hours, resulting in a total loss of around $1.71 billion.
The damage was not limited to just Bitcoin and Ethereum; altcoins also suffered heavy losses. The TOTAL3 market cap fell from $784 billion to $731 billion in a single candle, indicating that around $53 billion was wiped out in minutes, a decline of about 6.7%.
