Crypto Market Holds Steady at $64K as Hyperliquid Surges
The crypto market is experiencing a period of calm, but beneath the surface, things are far from stable. Bitcoin's price has been holding steady at $64,387.44, up just 0.13% over the past 24 hours.
However, when looking at the year-to-date performance, the situation takes on a different tone. Ethereum is the strongest performer among the top ten large-cap assets, with a gain of 1.73%, but it's also the worst performer on the year, down 35.76%.
The real story is in the asset that has been quietly outperforming: Hyperliquid. It's up an impressive 126.58% since January and has become a focal point for institutional attention due to its transparent token economics and visible value accrual back to the token.
On the other hand, assets like XRP, Solana, and Dogecoin are struggling, with prices down 43.22%, 41.21%, and 45.96% respectively since January. This is largely due to their dependence on retail risk appetite, which has been scarce this year.
