Crypto Market Pauses Rally as Overbought Signals Flash Red
The cryptocurrency market has experienced a significant surge in recent months, with Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and Ripple (XRP) seeing double-digit percentage gains. However, momentum indicators are now flashing overbought signals, suggesting that buying pressure may be exhausted.
According to the Relative Strength Index (RSI), all three assets have climbed above the 70 threshold on daily timeframes. This technical signal often precedes a price correction or sideways movement.
The RSI for Bitcoin has hovered near 75, while Ethereum and Ripple have recorded readings around 72 and 78 respectively. Key support levels to monitor include $60,000 for Bitcoin, $2,800 for Ethereum, and $0.55 for Ripple. A break below these levels could trigger further selling.
While overbought conditions do not guarantee a reversal, traders often watch for bearish divergences as a stronger signal of an impending pullback. Currently, none of the three assets show this divergence, but the risk of a short-term correction remains elevated.
