Crypto Market Plunges Over 2% Ahead of Fed Decision
The global crypto market capitalization dropped over 2% to around $2.6 trillion on September 15, as investors reduced risk before two major U.S. events.
BTC fell more than 3% and traded below the $76,000 level after failing to hold its earlier gains, while losses also spread across major altcoins.
The decline accelerated as traders assessed the Federal Open Market Committee meeting scheduled for September 15-16, where a 25-basis-point rate increase was placed at over 92% probability in Fed futures.
