Crypto Market Pulls Back as NFT Sector Drops Over 25%
The broader cryptocurrency market has seen a significant pullback in recent hours, according to data from SoSoValue. The NFT sector has taken the biggest hit, dropping 25.62% in just 24 hours. Audiera (BEAT) was particularly affected, plummeting 55.02%. Bitcoin (BTC) also saw a decline of 1.85%, falling below $65,000 for the first time since August 8th. Ethereum (ETH) followed suit, dropping 2.44% and dipping below $1,900.
However, not all sectors have been affected equally. The DeFi sector has managed to remain relatively resilient, rising 1.11%. Within this sector, Hyperliquid (HYPE) gained 1.76%, while Ethena (ENA) rose 3.56%. Similarly, the Layer 2 sector has seen a small increase of 2.01%, with Arbitrum (ARB) up 3.44% and Mantle (MNT) increasing 5.48%.
While some sectors have bucked the trend, others have suffered significant declines. The Meme sector decreased by 1.98%, while Pump.fun (PUMP) managed to rise 4.74%. Cardano (ADA) was one of the biggest losers in the Layer 1 sector, falling 3.19%.
