The global cryptocurrency market capitalization reached $2.29 trillion on August 19, representing a 0.5% increase from the previous day's total of $2.28 trillion.

Bitcoin (BTC) maintained its dominance at 56.5%, while Ethereum (ETH) held steady at 10.1%. Polkadot Ecosystem and the XRP Ledger Ecosystem were the largest gainers in the industry, with a surge in prices over the past day.

The top three gainers among individual cryptocurrencies were Fusionist (ACE), Siren (SIREN), and Venom (VENOM), which rose 57.3%, 32.4%, and 25.6% respectively in the last 24 hours.
