Crypto Market Sees Broad Breakout as ETF Inflows and Weaker Dollar Boost Prices
A recent surge in cryptocurrency prices has been driven by a combination of factors, including increased demand for U.S.-listed spot ETFs and a weaker U.S. dollar.
Last week, Bitcoin surged to nearly $77,000, up 23.6% from the previous week, while Ether rose to just under $2,500, a gain of 31.3%. The price increase coincided with heavy inflows into U.S.-listed spot ETFs, which drew in $1.92 billion for Bitcoin and $697 million for Ether.
The rally has also been fueled by the expansion of Treasury buybacks, which have lowered yields and put pressure on the dollar. This shift in macro conditions has led to a broad crypto breakout, with Bitcoin, Ether, and gold all moving above their 200-day moving averages.
