Crypto Market Shows Resilience as Whales Rotate Into Altcoins
The cryptocurrency market has shown resilience in the face of macroeconomic headwinds. According to Wintermute, a market maker, the crypto market absorbed the impact of Fed Chair Kevin Warsh's hawkish speech and the decline in the U.S. technology sector without giving back its recent gains.
Bitcoin held its ground after a 23% rally, but large players shifted their focus to other assets, leading to record inflows into Solana and XRP funds. The altcoin index rose 0.61%, outperforming Bitcoin and Ethereum.
Wintermute analysts noted that the outperformance of altcoins confirms a 'broadening of capital rotation' across the industry. Large funds are supporting market levels, with Bitcoin ETFs attracting $924 million and Ethereum funds taking in $816 million without any outflows.
