Crypto Market Shows Signs of Bottoming Amid Institutional Adoption
Bitwise's Chief Investment Officer Matt Hougan sees signs of a potential bottom in the crypto market, despite Bitcoin trading near $63,000. Hougan noted that major wealth-management platforms such as Wells Fargo, UBS, and Stifel have started to show interest in digital assets, viewing them as an asset class that will develop over the next decade.
Hougan pointed out that institutional adoption isn't being driven by price momentum, but rather by the potential long-term growth of cryptocurrencies. He cited expanding access to crypto investment products and the fact that Bitcoin has absorbed various bearish catalysts without suffering a major breakdown.

He believes regulators may advance rules independently, which could lead to significant growth as financial assets move towards 24/7 blockchain-based markets.
