Crypto Market Slowdown Normal, Blockchain Adoption on the Rise
According to Eamonn Gashier, founder and CEO of Block Scholes, the current slowdown in the crypto market is normal. In a recent interview on Zero Sum with Harsh Vardhan, Gashier argued that crypto is maturing from a speculative asset class into financial infrastructure.
Crypto markets have become more selective, distinguishing between projects that solve real-world problems and those driven primarily by speculation. Gashier cited Hyperliquid's HYPE token as an example of genuine utility rather than simply attracting speculative demand.
The market is shifting towards blockchain adoption in traditional finance, with large financial institutions exploring tokenized funds, on-chain settlement, and digital asset infrastructure to reduce costs and improve settlement speeds.
