Crypto Market Surges 4.5% as Rate-Hike Odds Fall and Bitcoin Reclaims $80,000
The cryptocurrency market surged by 4.5% after traders reduced expectations for an immediate Federal Reserve rate increase, pushing Bitcoin above $80,000 and several major altcoins sharply higher.
Fed Governor Christopher Waller's comments that he could support holding rates steady if incoming inflation data continues to cool helped trigger the move, cutting the probability of a September increase from above 60%.
BTC moved above $81,000 while US spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded roughly $277 million in provisional inflows. AlphaPepe's presale Stage 20 is nearing sellout at $0.02902 after raising more than $2.59 million from over 11,500 holders.
