Crypto Market Surges as Dogecoin Rallies 10% Amid Interest Rate Uncertainty
The cryptocurrency market made a swift rebound on Thursday, with notable gains in Bitcoin and other leading digital assets. Dogecoin was among the top performers, surging 10% to $0.0771.
This build-up of momentum comes after a low point on Wednesday when Dogecoin dipped to $0.069. It briefly reached $0.078 early Thursday before pulling back slightly.
Dogecoin cofounder Billy Markus, known as Shibetoshi Nakamoto on X, responded to the sudden upswing with a post on social media. He shared a screenshot highlighting the rally across the crypto sector, featuring assets such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, and Dogecoin trading decisively higher.
In his post, Markus questioned whether the rebound signals a lasting change, asking 'is crypto back? is the 2026 nightmare over?' This reference to uncertainty in cryptocurrency markets following turmoil in 2026 highlights ongoing concerns about sustained recovery.
