Crypto Market Surges Past $2.71T, Testing May's Highs
The cryptocurrency market has been testing its highs from May, reaching over $2.71T in value after nearly two weeks of consolidation following a rally.
Bitcoin was the primary driver behind this surge, with altcoins providing support, but the renewed highs soon led to profit-taking.
Among the top coins over the past 24 hours, Dash saw an 18% increase, followed by Zcash at 14.7%, and Uniswap at 9.5%. Filecoin, Aptos, and Immutable were the worst performers, decreasing by -4.8%, -2.7%, and -0.6%, respectively.
Bitcoin reached $82K during overnight trading sessions in the US and Asia but pulled back to just below $81K by the start of European trading, remaining above its local resistance level seen recently.
