Crypto Market Turns Corner as Buyers Step In
The cryptocurrency market has been steadily recovering from its losses in June, and signs are pointing to a shift towards a 'buy on the dip' mode. The market capitalization has reached $2.24T, with leading altcoins showing gains ranging from Uniswap (+13%) to Aptos (+7.5%). Bitcoin fell below its uptrend's support line last Friday but rebounded above $65K by Monday.
Ethereum outperformed Bitcoin in the recovery, hitting two-month highs and returning to test key support levels. This outperformance suggests growing optimism surrounding cryptocurrencies, with Ethereum showing on-chain signals typical of market lows. However, only two of the five ETH metrics have reached the levels they did during previous market reversals.
The news also highlights concerns about Bitcoin's governance mechanisms being insufficiently flexible to counter the quantum threat promptly. Charles Hoskinson, Cardano founder, warned that making changes to the BTC blockchain is extremely difficult. Additionally, more than 99 crypto projects have shut down since the start of the year, with over 30% of Galaxy Research's predicted probability of the Clarity Act being passed in 2026 now at risk due to the approaching Senate summer recess.
