Crypto Market Weakness: Outflows from Bitcoin ETFs and Regulatory Uncertainty

Instruments

The cryptocurrency market is showing signs of weakness, with Bitcoin experiencing a decline in price and outflows from Bitcoin ETFs reaching $240 million. The main share of this withdrawal came from BlackRock's IBIT, with about $212 million being withdrawn from the fund.

Coinbase is also making management changes, with the heads of legal, HR, and the Base division leaving the company. This has added uncertainty to the market, as Coinbase remains one of the key players in the crypto industry.

The regulatory agenda is also a concern for market participants. The probability of the Clarity Act 2026 passing has been reduced to 30%, which has increased caution around future rules for digital assets.
