Crypto Markets Extend Gains as Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Ripple Reach New Heights
Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) continue their upward momentum, reaching prices above $80,000 and $2,500, respectively. This marks a 3% gain for Bitcoin and a 1.5% increase for Ethereum over the past week.
The technical outlook for both cryptocurrencies remains positive, but analysts warn that the rally may be getting stretched. The Relative Strength Index (RSI) for BTC is near 82, indicating overbought territory, while the Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) indicator suggests upside momentum is still dominant.
Ethereum's price holds well above its key moving averages, with support found at the rising 50-day EMA and reinforced by the 100-day and 200-day EMAs. The RSI for ETH is also in overbought territory at 77, suggesting elevated bullish momentum.
Ripple (XRP), on the other hand, hovers around $1.44 after a strong bullish phase, but its momentum remains stretched. The next significant resistance for XRP does not emerge until the horizontal line around $1.900.
