Crypto Markets Plummet in Evening Session Amid Broad Selloff
Crypto markets experienced a broad sell-off in their evening session on Wednesday, with all eight major digital assets ending in the red. The subdued risk appetite was reflected in the market's performance.
The largest cryptocurrency, Bitcoin, dropped by 0.95% to $62,817.30, still consolidating below the significant $63,000 level. Ethereum fared relatively better, falling 0.47% to $1,875.51.
Among the altcoins, Cardano was the weakest performer, declining 2.17% to $0.18, while Solana fell 1.48% to $75.05. XRP and BNB also came under pressure, falling 1.29% and 0.66%, respectively.
The uniformity of losses across the market suggests that traders were cautious due to macroeconomic factors rather than any specific issue with individual coins. Market participants will be monitoring whether Bitcoin can hold above $62,000 as a key indicator of near-term sentiment.
