Crypto Markets Pull Back as Investors Digest Tech Earnings and Inflation Data
The cryptocurrency market saw a slight pullback on Friday, led by Dogecoin and Ether, which dropped 4.5% and 2.5% respectively.
This move was part of a broader but shallow retreat across the majors, with most remaining higher on the week ahead of next week's Fed meeting.
Japan's headline inflation rate accelerated to 1.7% in June, exceeding its previous level of 1.5%, and core inflation rose to 1.6% from 1.4%, but both remain below the Bank of Japan's 2% target.
The Japanese government bonds continued to sell off, pushing the 10-year yield above 2.8%, up more than one percent over the past 24 hours.
