Crypto Markets Slide Amid Macro Pressures and Clarity Act Uncertainty
Crypto markets fell on July 23 as Bitcoin (BTC) slid 1.56% to $65,047.34, Ethereum (ETH) dropped 2.57% to $1,883.70, and Solana (SOL) declined 2.43% to $76.01.
The crypto market cap fell 1.2% to $2.30 trillion as macroeconomic pressures weighed on prices. Investors grew wary of risky assets after oil prices rose, Treasury yields climbed, and inflation concerns returned to the fore.
The decline in crypto markets was also linked to dwindling hopes for the Clarity Act, which would provide a clear framework for handling digital assets in the U.S. The legislation's passage has become increasingly uncertain.
