Crypto Markets Under Pressure as Bitcoin Slips Below $77,200
Crypto markets are feeling the heat as evening trading brings broad selling pressure to the sector. Bitcoin, in particular, has slipped below $77,200, weighing heavily on market sentiment.
The world's leading digital asset declined by a significant 1.73%, while Ethereum followed closely behind with a 2.14% drop to $2,414.43. This weakness is not limited to just these two assets, however, as Solana plummeted 3.31% to $99.59, dropping below the closely watched $100 threshold.
XRP and BNB also suffered losses of 2.19% and 1.53%, respectively, while Dogecoin declined by a similar margin to $0.08. Cardano's decline was more modest at 0.96% to $0.20, but even the usually resilient Avalanche fell by just 0.36% to $7.20.
The uniformity of declines across assets of varying size and utility suggests that selling pressure is being driven by macro sentiment rather than coin-specific factors. With Bitcoin struggling to hold above $77,000 and Solana losing the $100 level, traders will be watching closely for signs of stabilization in overnight sessions.
