Crypto Media Traffic Collapse Linked to De-Indexing, Not AI Search

The crypto media industry has been struggling with declining traffic, and many attribute this to AI search. However, a two-year analysis of 40 crypto news domains by ICODA found that de-indexing is the main reason behind the decline in traffic.

According to the analysis, most of the affected websites have seen their Google rankings drop significantly over time. This has resulted in a substantial decrease in organic traffic, leading to the notion that AI search is responsible for the decline.

However, ICODA's research suggests that de-indexing is the primary cause of the issue. De-indexing occurs when a website's content is no longer indexed by Google, making it invisible to users and resulting in a loss of traffic.
