Crypto Not Dead Yet: Emerging Trends Point to Future Growth
Crypto has been on the decline recently, but according to some experts, it's not time to give up yet. Prediction market contracts and financial derivatives are emerging as new ways to trade crypto, which could lead to a surge in growth.
The stablecoin sector is also growing rapidly, with Tether (USDT) and USDC having a combined market cap of $250 billion. According to Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, the stablecoin industry could balloon into a $3 trillion market opportunity by 2030.
Real-world assets (RWAs), which are tradeable cryptos representing ownership of things like stocks, bonds, and real estate, are also on the rise. CoinShares' research shows that RWA deposits tripled year over year, reaching $7.4 billion in Q2 2026.
