Crypto Ownership Spreads Across America

Share

The National Cryptocurrency Association has released new data on crypto ownership in the United States. According to their report, over 67 million Americans own cryptocurrency, which is a significant increase from last year's number of one in five adults.

California tops the list with an estimated 9.5 million crypto holders, followed closely by Texas and Florida. However, when measured by percentage of residents who own cryptocurrency, Alaska takes the lead with over one-quarter of its population estimated to hold digital assets.

The report also found that people in all states, regardless of population size, are buying into cryptocurrency. In fact, an estimated 12 million Americans have become crypto holders since 2025, which is roughly equal to the combined population of New York City and Los Angeles.
