Crypto Payment Cards Hit Record $1.076 Billion in August Volume
Crypto payment cards have achieved their best month in August, with significant increases in volume, transactions, and users. The total volume of crypto card spending reached $1.076 billion in August, surpassing the $1 billion mark for the second consecutive month.
The data from paymentscan.xyz shows that this growth is not limited to just one aspect, transactions also hit a new high at around 10.67 million, while addresses grew to over 283K from 261K the month prior. This averages out to an impressive $100.80 per transaction.
Among the top players in this market, RedotPay took the lion's share of total volume with approximately $390.1 million processed in August, accounting for around 36% of the sector. However, when looking at transactions, the company's share is significantly higher at over 6.34 million, or 54% of every swipe or tap tracked.
This discrepancy suggests that RedotPay's users are engaging in routine spending rather than making occasional large purchases, with an average purchase size of around $61.50. EtherFi and KAST remain in the second and third spots in terms of monthly volume generated.
