Crypto Payment Cards See Surging Adoption, Reaching $759M in Monthly Spending
The adoption of cryptocurrency payment cards has seen significant growth in recent years, according to data from a16z crypto. Monthly spending on these cards has risen to $759 million, up from a niche scale previously.
These cards allow users to pay with cryptocurrency in all scenarios that support traditional card organizations, with stablecoins converted to local currency at the point of sale. This makes it no different for merchants than regular card transactions.
As of July 31, RedotPay has maintained the majority share of spending on crypto payment cards, while EtherFi, KAST, Karta, and others have gradually increased their share since the end of 2025.
