Crypto Prices See Broad Corrections as Bitcoin Falls Below $80,000
Crypto prices saw broad corrections on Monday as failed attempts to break through key resistance levels led to profit-taking and pressure from macroeconomic headwinds. Bitcoin (BTC) retreated below $80,000, trading at around $79,460 at the time of writing.
Ethereum (ETH) also struggled, holding below $2,500, while Ripple (XRP) tested support at $1.40. Despite these short-term bearish signs, market sentiment remains strong, with the Fear & Greed Index holding steady in the Greed territory at 71.
The index reflects a continued appetite for risk assets, which is driving steady capital inflows. In fact, Bitcoin spot Exchange-Traded Funds (ETFs) saw their third consecutive week of inflows, totaling $987 million last week through Friday.
