Crypto Prices See Mixed Fortunes as Miners Face New Challenges
Crypto prices are experiencing mixed fortunes as major players in the space continue to navigate a challenging market environment. The Pi Network (PI) price has stabilized at $0.0887, despite a surge in retail demand and stable positional buildup in PI futures.
The technical outlook for PI is cautious, with the price holding at a critical support level of $0.08397. However, some traders are optimistic about the asset's prospects, as evidenced by the recent increase in activity around its make-or-break level.
Meanwhile, Bitcoin (BTC) miners are facing increasing pressure due to declining transaction fees, which now account for just 0.69% of miner revenue, a new 10-year low according to data from Glassnode. This trend is likely to continue as major players pivot towards AI and smaller miners struggle to remain profitable.
Ripple (XRP) is also experiencing a tough time, with its price stuck in a tight technical structure and support limited by key moving averages. The remittance token has declined by around 6.5% in August, extending its total pullback to approximately 14% from July's $1.18 peak.
