Crypto Prices Surge: Bitcoin Extends Winning Streak as Ethereum Closes Above Key Hurdle
Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and Ripple (XRP) started the week on a strong note, with all three cryptocurrencies posting gains in excess of 1% over the previous week.
The Bitcoin price has now extended its winning streak to four consecutive weeks, with BTC holding above key technical resistance. The 50-day Exponential Moving Average (EMA) at $65,089 is currently serving as a support level for the cryptocurrency, while the 100-day EMA at $67,787 and the 200-day EMA near $73,848 remain distant but significant barriers to further upside.
Ethereum, meanwhile, has strengthened its bullish outlook by closing above its 100-day EMA. ETH's price currently trades at $1,945, with a neutral-to-bullish bias as it sits above both the 50-day and 100-day EMAs. The Relative Strength Index (RSI) near 62 points to firm but not extreme upside momentum.
Ripple, however, continues to trade below its key moving averages, with XRP's price at $1.10 maintaining a bearish near-term bias. While the RSI hovers near the neutral 50 line, the MACD remains marginally positive, hinting at modest recovery attempts within a broader corrective phase.
