Crypto Prices to Move as Trump Cancels Strikes, Big Earnings Loom
This week's market calendar is packed with events that could move crypto prices. Major economic data releases and big tech earnings will be closely watched, particularly for Bitcoin, Ethereum, and XRP.
The US markets are reacting to the cancellation of planned strikes on Iran, but several major economic reports are landing soon. On Monday, July ISM Manufacturing PMI data will be released, followed by June JOLTS Job Openings data and earnings from AMD and SpaceX on Tuesday.
On Wednesday, July ADP Nonfarm Employment Change data will be announced, along with earnings from SanDisk. The week's biggest market catalyst is the July jobs report due out on Friday, which could have a significant impact on crypto prices.
Roughly 20% of S&P 500 companies are reporting earnings this week, adding to potential volatility across markets and cryptos.
Bitcoin closed July at $62,818, remaining down over 49% from its October peak. According to one analyst, Bitcoin may be starting a bottoming process, which historically takes one to three months and often includes a dip below the realized price before finding a true bottom. This cycle has held up noticeably better than past ones so far, suggesting relative strength compared to history.
XRP is coiling near a key level of $1.06 support and must reclaim $1.16 to shift its structure now, according to chart analysts tracking the token. Every relief rally since XRP's January high near $2.40 has been capped by the same resistance pattern, with $1.16 remaining the level to watch for signs that could finally change.
Ethereum has been stuck trading between roughly $1,860 and $1,955 for several weeks. One analyst says Ethereum could eventually reach higher levels after a deeper pullback, but only after a specific sequence plays out first: a rally into the $1,900 to $2,000 resistance zone, followed by a distribution period, then a deeper test toward the $900 to $1,400 range before any new bull cycle begins.
