Crypto Scammer Tied to $5M in Stolen Funds Exposed by Blockchain Investigator
Crypto users and exchanges are facing a growing threat from social-engineering scams. A recent investigation by blockchain investigator ZachXBT has linked US-based threat actor Tiffany Milanovich to at least $5 million in crypto thefts via hardware wallet and centralized exchange support impersonation calls.
Milanovich allegedly posed as exchange or wallet support, convincing victims to give up access to their funds. She even went so far as to record herself taunting the victims on these calls after draining their accounts, leaving them feeling vulnerable and exploited.
The scammer's brazen behavior is underscored by her displays of luxury spending on social media, where she openly shows off stolen funds and casino gambling wins. This highlights the ongoing security risks for crypto users and emphasizes the need for stronger authentication and fraud prevention measures.
