Crypto Shares Plunge as US Stocks Open Lower
US stocks opened slightly lower on September 15, mirroring the global trend. The Dow Jones Industrial Average slipped 0.2%, while the S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite each declined by 0.1%.
Crypto-related shares fared worse, with Circle (CRCL) plummeting 5.97% and Coinbase (COIN) dropping 5.52%. Other notable decliners included BitMine (BMNR), which lost 4.77%, Bullish (BLSH), down 4.25%, and Strategy (MSTR), falling 3.1%.
However, not all tech stocks followed the downtrend. Nvidia rose 0.8%, while Intel gained 1.6%. Microsoft and Oracle, on the other hand, declined by 0.8% and 0.5%, respectively.
