Crypto Stock Perpetual Futures Hit Record $665B as Chip Stocks Dominate
Crypto stock perpetual futures trading volume on centralized exchanges reached a record $665.42 billion in August, according to data from WuBlockchain Data Center.
This represents a 4.6% increase from July's total and marks a 56 times growth compared to January's level.
However, the market is still heavily concentrated around a few popular stocks, with SanDisk (SNDK), SK Hynix (SKHYNIX), and SpaceX-linked SPCX dominating over half of the total volume at 50.4%.
In particular, SanDisk's perpetual futures volume reached $193.58 billion in August, accounting for a striking 62.4% of its US spot turnover on August 19 - the highest ratio recorded.
