Crypto Tax Software Prices Vary Widely Depending on Transaction Count

Share

Crypto tax software is necessary for German investors to keep track of their cryptocurrency transactions for tax returns, but it can be expensive. The cost depends on the number of transactions in a given year, and providers charge based on tiered pricing models.

The four providers surveyed - Blockpit, Divly, Waltio, and Coinpanda - all offer one-off purchases or annual subscriptions. Blockpit's prices range from 49 to 549 euros for up to 10,000 transactions per year, while Divly offers a free plan with paid tiers starting at 39 euros for 0-100 transactions. Waltio's pricing is more complex, with five tiers offering varying levels of support and features.

Coinpanda stands out as the only provider that bills in US dollars, and it does not offer tax forms tailored to German investors. The company supports all countries that permit FIFO or LIFO methods for determining acquisition costs, but Germany's Annex SO is not explicitly mentioned on their pricing page.
