Crypto Thug's $245 Million Heist Exposed
A 22-year-old Singapore citizen has pleaded guilty to leading a massive crypto crime ring that stole and laundered over $245 million. Malone Lam, also known as 'Anne Hathaway,' '$$$', and 'King Greavy,' organized an international network of thieves who targeted crypto owners through social engineering and home break-ins.
The operation, which ran from October 2023 to May 2025, included participants in California, Connecticut, New York, Florida, and overseas. Lam selected targets and coordinated roles across the group, using online aliases to communicate with his team.
The stolen funds financed an extravagant lifestyle for Lam and his associates, who spent up to $500,000 on a single nightclub evening, gave away luxury handbags at parties, and bought watches worth between $100,000 and over $500,000. They also rented private jets, purchased homes in Los Angeles, the Hamptons, and Miami, hired private security teams, and acquired exotic cars valued at up to $3.8 million.
Lam was arrested in September 2025 at a rented home in Miami, and his guilty plea has turned allegations against him into an admission of criminal participation. The case against other alleged participants continues.
