Crypto Traders Flee Platforms as Satisfaction Gap Widens
A new report from ChainUp reveals that 60% of active crypto traders have switched platforms in just 24 months, signaling a significant erosion of brand loyalty.
The study, known as the Exchange Operator's Intelligence Report 2026, found that 99% of traders are willing to migrate to a new platform for even minor improvements in execution utility or token availability.
This shift is driven by a 'satisfaction gap' between user expectations and current platform capabilities, with traders increasingly penalizing platforms for operational friction. ChainUp's CEO Sailor Zhong notes that 'in today's saturated market, the primary risk is no longer technical failure, but delivering a platform that fails to meet actual market demands.'
The report highlights key business outcomes for crypto exchanges, including halting capital flight by bridging the satisfaction gap and maximizing lifetime user value through lifecycle ownership.
