Crypto Traders Uncover Hidden Accumulation Patterns
Crypto traders have long sought ways to identify quiet accumulation in the market, where demand builds beneath a flat or slow-moving price. Two tools that help achieve this are Cumulative Volume Delta (CVD) and whale balances.
CVD tracks net aggressive order flow by calculating the running sum of taker-buy volume minus taker-sell volume. This indicator provides a clean read on participation and pressure, rather than just price movement alone. By pairing CVD with whale balance changes and exchange flows, traders can look for quiet accumulation.
A rising or steady-positive CVD while price remains range-bound suggests absorption, where buyers take offers but a patient seller caps the price. If top holders or labeled smart money increase balances, and exchange reserves or netflows imply less supply available to sell, the case strengthens.
