Crypto Trading Terminals Post First $1 Billion Day Since January 2025 on Robinhood Chain
Crypto trading terminals have seen their first $1 billion day since January 2025, according to Dune charts. The milestone was achieved on Sept. 2, with GMGN taking almost half of the total volume at $479.7 million. This represents a significant shift in venue mix compared to the last billion-dollar day.
GMGN's multi-chain terminal now accounts for nine out of every ten dollars of its volume on Robinhood Chain, which is the two-month-old network built by Robinhood for tokenized equities. In contrast, its Solana volume was flat at $9.5 million compared to 30 days earlier.
Robinhood Chain accounted for $445.5 million of GMGN's Sept. 2 volume, or 90.7%, with the rest of GMGN's footprint growing far less or shrinking. Fee income also rose, with GMGN taking $2.46 million in revenue on Sept. 2, up from $956,000 on Aug. 26.
The recovery extends beyond trading terminals, as volume across all decentralized exchanges (DEXs) reached a 26% increase to $236.3 billion over the past 30 days. Uniswap V4 is now the largest single DEX by 30-day volume at $28.21 billion, surpassing Uniswap V3.
