Crypto Transitions from Trading Vehicle to Real-World Financial Infrastructure
Binance CEO Richard Teng has highlighted how digital assets are increasingly functioning as real-world financial infrastructure rather than just a vehicle for trading. Stablecoins, in particular, are being adopted as practical financial tools due to their stability and usability in regions with unstable local currencies.
Teng pointed out that stablecoins are no longer just a bridge between fiat and crypto but have become a standalone layer of the global financial system. Their total supply has grown significantly over the past year, with major issuers like Tether and Circle expanding their footprints.
The shift towards practical applications is also visible in everyday crypto adoption. People are increasingly using digital assets for direct transactions, such as with crypto-linked debit cards or peer-to-peer transfers in emerging markets. This trend indicates that crypto is slowly embedding itself into the fabric of daily commerce.
